Description:  An antique Edwardian 10k tested shell cameo brooch of the Greek priestess Medusa in yellow gold.

Note:  It took nearly three years to find this tragic and ill-fated Medusa Gorgona. According to Greek mythology, the once beautiful and only mortal of the three Gorgon sisters ended up unfairly suffering Athena’s wrath. Athena punished her by cursing Medusa with a head full of snakes.
